Trio of Hoyas Earn BIG EAST Weekly Honors 3/18/25

WASHINGTON – Three Georgetown University men’s lacrosse players earned BIG EAST Weekly honors, as announced by the league office on Monday. Robert Plath was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and Kevin Miller was tabbed the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week while Aidan Carroll earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after the Hoyas defeated High Point 17-10 in nonconference action last week

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Plath tied a career-high four caused turnovers for the second-straight game in the 17-10 win over High Point. Georgetown’s defense held the Panthers scoreless in the fourth quarter and with just one goal in the final 21:38 of the game. Plath’s four caused turnovers give him 18 on the season, tied for 20th most in a single season on the Hilltop. Only Gibson Smith IV (C’21, M’22) with 19 in 2018 and current teammate Ty Banks’ 24 in 2024 have recorded more during their freshman campaign at Georgetown.

Miller scored three goals to go with two assists for five points in the 17-10 win over High Point. He notched his second hat trick of his career in the game. Georgetown’s offense erupted for a season-high 17 goals in the win, nearly seven more than its season average to that point.Aidan Carroll

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Carroll scored three goals and added two assists for five points in the 17-10 win against High Point. With his five points, he moves into 29th place all time on the Georgetown career scoring list with 106 points, passing Bo Stafford (B’15) and Lucas Wittenberg (B’19).The Hoyas next host Richmond on Saturday, March 22 at noon in the 2025 nonconference finale.
