NEWARK, Del. – The Blue Hens continue to make their mark in the HeNLL as Week 17 concluded. One former Hen is currently finding the back of the net with the best of them.
Mike Robinson (2020-24) and the Halifax Thunderbirds took down Reed Kurtz (2020-24) and the Ottawa Black Bears, 17-16, on Friday. Robinson tallied three points (one goal, two assists) with eight loose balls, while Kurtz had eight loose balls and a block.
The Toronto Rock beat Kevin Lynch (2020-23) and the Philadelphia Wings, 15-8, on Saturday. Lynch is a member of the Wings’ Practice Player List. Brett Manney (2004-08) is a member of the Philadelphia Wings’ staff, serving as the Head of Youth Development.
Tye Kurtz (2019-23) and the Albany FireWolves outlasted the Buffalo Bandits, 11-10, in overtime on Saturday. Kurtz recorded six points (two goals, four assists) and five loose balls.
Jake Govett (2019-22) and the San Diego Seals beat Curtis Dickson (2007-10) and the Calgary Roughnecks, 16-12, on Saturday. Govett scored a goal with four loose balls, while Dickson posted four points (one goal, three assists) with one loose ball, one blocked shot, and one caused turnover. Cam Acchione (2021-24) remains off the Seals’ active roster on the Physically Unable to Perform List. Jordan Hall (2003-07) is a member of the San Diego Seals’ coaching staff, serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Director of Player Personnel.
Owen Grant (2019-23) and the Vancouver Warriors defeated the Georgia Swarm, 15-13, on Saturday. Grant scored two goals with three loose balls, two blocked shots, and one caused turnover.
In Ottawa’s second game of the weekend, Reed Kurtz tallied two assists with six loose balls in a 14-9 victory on Sunday over the Colorado Mammoth.
