We’re at Week 9 in the Premier Lacrosse League 2024 Season and the Denver Outlaws (4-3) will play host to the league this weekend.  It’s the first time since the MLL ceased to exist that the Denver Outlaws will be back here in Colorado and former Outlaws attackman Eric Law is back with his original professional lacrosse squad, the Denver Outlaws.  The stage has also been set as the six teams that will go onto the post season are the Atlas, Cannons, Whipsnakes, Archers, Outlaws and Chaos.

The games will be played at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, home of the University of Denver Pioneers with 11 former Denver alum returning home to face the home team crowd on Friday August 9, 2024, and Saturday August 10, 2024. First up the Outlaws will go up against the Maryland Whipsnakes (5-4) at 8:00 p.m. EST; then the Philadelphia Waterdogs (1-7) who have been eliminated from the playoffs face off against the California Redwoods (2-6) who have also been eliminated with their game slated to start at 10:30 p.m. EST.  Then on Saturday, the New York Atlas (6-2) will face the Utah Archers (4-3) at 2:30 p.m. EST; and to close out the weekend, the Outlaws will go up against the Carolina Chaos (4-4) at 7:00 p.m. EST.

League & Conference Standings Week 9

We’re excited that we’ll be at the games this weekend so those fans who can’t make the game as Friday night is sold out and only a few seats are left for Saturday can check out our photo galleries from the action.

Now…will the home team Outlaws be able to pull off both games this weekend in front of their home crowd?  So far, home field advantage has only worked out for both the New York Atlas who won both of their games at Casey Stadium in Albany, NY; and the Maryland Whipsnakes who also won both of their games at Homewood Field in Baltimore, MD.  The Cannons, Chaos and Redwoods have split the weekend, and the Waterdogs lost both at home.

Week 9 Injury Report

What about injuries?  The Whips have the highest number of players either out or questionable with four; the Redwoods have two that are questionable; the Outlaws and Archers each have one player “out”; with the Dogs and Chaos each with one as questionable.  The Atlas has no players out with injuries.

We’re predicting the following results:  Outlaws over Whipsnakes; Redwoods over Waterdogs; Atlas over Archers; and Outlaws over Chaos.
