The league will be in Utah for Week 10 with the Utah Archers hosting the games at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, UT. In the first game on Friday night August 16, 2024m, fans get to see their home team the Archers (4-4) take on the California Redwoods (3-6) at 8:00 p.m. EST. with the game being telecast on ESPN+. Now, the Archers if they win both games this weekend, would move into a tie with the Maryland Whipsnakes (6-4) as their season is complete, however the Whips have a better point differential. That would also potentially put the Denver Outlaws (5-4) who will be the second team to go up against the Archers on Saturday night August 17, 2024, game time 9:00 p.m. EST to drop down to sixth in the league having already clinched a playoff spot.
The second game on Friday night has a slated start time of 10:30 p.m. EST when the Boston Cannons (6-3) go up against the Carolina Chaos (4-5) also being televised on ESPN+. With the Cannons already clinching, this game is for points to see if they move ahead of the Whips which would give them a 7-3 record. Chaos on the other hand, has one more chance at a playoff spot and they can do it by defeating the Cannons or if the Redwoods lose to the Archers.
Now on Saturday August 17, 2024, the New York Atlas (7-2) who have also clinched a playoff spot will go head-to-head against the last place Philadelphia Waterdogs (1-8) at 6:30 p.m. EST with the game being telecast on ESPN+. The Dogs have been eliminated from the playoffs and have nothing to lose so they will pull out all the stops to try and end the season with a “W”. If the Atlas win and Boston wins, New York will still be atop of the leaderboard based upon the point differential making them the Conference Winner and also a first-round bye.
The night and regular season will close out with the Denver Outlaws (5-4) taking on the home team Archers at 9:00 p.m. EST. Fans can catch this game on ESPN+ and ESPN2. If the Outlaws win, that will move them into a tie with the Whips, but Maryland holds the point differential. If Denver does win, that would make them first in the Western Conference giving them a first-round bye. So there’s a lot on the line for everyone this weekend as teams are vying for good positioning heading. to the playoffs which will start in Boston on September 2, 2024.
