We’re two thirds of the way through the 2024 PLL Season and this weekend, the teams are headed to Torero Stadium in San Diego, California for Week 7.  The California Redwoods (1-4) will be hosting the games.  It’s almost statistically impossible for either the Redwoods or the Philadelphia Waterdogs (1-5) to make the playoffs.  They would both have to win all of their last games in order to turn their records around as only the top six teams will head to the post season.

A big change on the Boston Cannons (5-2) roster as Matt Kavanagh will sit out this weekend’s games with the return of his brother rookie Pat Kavanagh in preparation for their matchup against the Denver Outlaws (3-2) on Saturday July 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. EST.  This game will be televised on both ESPN and ESPN+.

The first team to take on the home team Redwoods are the Carolina Chaos (3-3) who are currently sitting in second place in the West.  Chaos just came off a huge OT win over the Maryland Whipsnakes (2-4) last weekend in Fairfield, CT.  The Redwoods haven’t won a game since July 5, 2024, when they narrowly defeated the Cannons 9-7.  Will being the home team in front of their own fans make a difference?  They’ll have to put up more than nine goals if they want to beat the Chaos.  These two will match up on Saturday July 27, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. EST.  You can also see the action on ESPN+.

On Sunday July 28, the Waterdogs (1-5) will go head-to-head against the New York Atlas (5-2) who are sitting atop the East. Atlas just came off an embarrassing loss (17-12) against the Cannons last weekend.  They’re not happy that their offense couldn’t produce, and the Dogs have an uphill battle on their hands.  The game is slated to start at 3:00 p.m. EST and it will be telecast on ABC as well as ESPN+.

Closing out the weekend, the Whipsnakes will take on the Redwoods at 5:30 p.m. EST.  The Snakes just lost a heartbreaker last weekend and the Redwoods want to cap off the weekend with victories in both games.  Will the Redwoods be able to make an amazing comeback and defeat the Snakes?  It’s do or die for them this weekend so pay special attention to their games.  The PLL will close out the weekend on ESPN+.
