Georgetown Hoyas Graham Bundy Jr. Named Tewaaraton Award Nominee 4/18/24

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men’s lacrosse captain Graham Bundy Jr. was named a Tewaaraton Award Nominee, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday. Bundy was also a Tewaaraton Award nominee as a junior in 2022 and is now one of the top-25 men’s players in the nation in the running for the highest award in college lacrosse.

The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are composed of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation. Five men’s and five women’s finalists will be selected from these groups, to be announced May 9 at the conclusion of the regular season.

Bundy, a two-time captain for the Hoyas, is one of the most decorated players in program history. A three-time All-American, Bundy was a consensus first team All-American in 2022 as well as a USILA Second Team All-American in both 2021 and 2023. He was an Inside Lacrosse First Team Media All-American in 2021 and a Third Team honoree in 2023, as well as a USA Lacrosse Magazine First Team All-American in 2021 and Second Team recipient in 2023. Bundy was also a team captain for the U.S. U21 National Team that won Gold at the 2022 World Games in Limerick, Ireland.

For his career, Bundy has started all 65 games of his career at Georgetown and scored 143 goals to go with 63 assists for 206 career points. He is just the fourth Hoya in program history to eclipse 200 career points and currently ranks fourth all-time in career points and goals on the Hilltop.

This season, Bundy has tallied 22 goals and nine assists for 31 points to help the No. 11 Hoyas to an 8-3 overall record.
