WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men’s lacrosse’s Ty Bank was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday. Banks put together another solid defensive performance in the Hoyas 10-8 setback at Denver in a top-10 showdown in the Mile High City over the weekend.
Banks was credited with three caused turnovers and collected three ground balls against the then-No. 7/10 Pioneers. Georgetown’s defense has now held nine-straight opponents to 10 goals or fewer on the season.
This is the second weekly honor for Banks after being named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on February 26.
