Georgetown got on the board on its second possession of the afternoon to take the early lead. Nicky Solomon completed a first-quarter hat trick to give the Hoyas a 3-0 lead in the first 15 minutes in the Valley. The Hoyas got the final two goals of the first half in response to take a 9-1 lead into the locker room.

Third Quarter:
JJ Sillstrop got Denver on the board on the man-up that carried over from the second-quarter, his 30th of the season.

Back-to-back-to-back quick Georgetown goals in response got the Hoyas lead to 10 at 12-2 with less than 11 minutes to play in the quarter.

Mic Kelly found the back of the net with 5:39 to go in the frame to make it a 12-3 game. The Hoyas took a nine-goal margin into the final frame.
