Outlaws Trade John Grant, Jr. For Adam Fullerton

DENVER — The Denver Outlaws acquired ninth-year goalie Adam Fullerton and a second round pick in the 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft from the Ohio Machine in exchange for attackman John Grant Jr., the team announced today.

Fullerton, who previously played for the Outlaws from 2009-13, appeared in four games for the Machine this season, recording 171 minutes, 31 seconds between the pipes while making 31 saves and posting a 14.69 goals against average.

A 2008 graduate of West Point, Fullerton was originally drafted by Rochester with the 28th overall pick in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft before joining the Outlaws in 2009.

Fullerton is also a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and completed a one-year deployment in Afghanistan which began midway through the 2011 season.

Grant Jr was acquired from Chesapeake along with defenseman Michael Simon and the 16th overall pick in the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft in exchange for attackman Brendan Mundorf on September 6, 2013. In his 28 games in Denver, Grant Jr. totaled 112 points (59 goals, 53 assists), including 17 points (7 goals, 9 assists) in six games this season.
