Tigers Remain in Top 10 in All Three Polls 3/14/16

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men’s lacrosse team continued with a top-10 ranking for a second-straight week. All three major polls were released Monday after an action-packed weekend.   Denver was the unanimous number one team in the country this week after upending this week’s second-ranked team, Notre Dame, 9-8 in overtime. Syracuse was voted third, followed by Ivy Leaguers Yale and Brown at fourth and fifth, respectively.

Vancouver (3-6) visiting the Toronto Rock (2-7) in their first meeting in the 2016 NLL season. Vancouver was looking for their first win in three games, while Toronto was looking to redeem themselves after losing 15-10 to Calgary Friday night.

By: Tom Maguire, Beat Writer Bates College Women’s Lacrosse On a spring like day in Lewiston Maine, the Bates Bobcats Women’s Lacrosse team won a thrilling 8-7 game against the No. 9 ranked NESCAC opponent Amherst College.  The victory raised the Bobcats record to 5-0, their best start since the 2001 season.  The Bobcats are currently 2-0 in the NESCAC.
