We went one-on-one with Zach Currier #25 of the Denver Outlaws. Here’s the link to our interview.
According to the Denver Outlaws media release here’s how it played out.
“The Denver Outlaws selected 10 players in the 2017 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft, including midfielder Zach Currier from Princeton University with the sixth selection of the first round after moving up three spots in a trade with Atlanta.
In his senior season with Princeton, Currier was the only player in the country to record at least 50 points (58 points, 24 goals, 34 assists) and 100 ground balls (130). A native of Peterborough, Ont., Currier earned All-American honors following his junior and senior season.
“We thought Zach was the best overall player in the entire draft,” General Manager Tony Seaman said. “No matter the price, we felt it was important that we move up to acquire the rights to Zach. We think his all-around athletic ability is incredible and that he’ll be a big addition for us this year. There are so many ways that we can fit him into our lineup.”
