On September 17, the Toronto Rock made their first selection in the 2019 NLL draft near the end of the first round at number 15 overall. They used this pick to select transition player Aaron Forster from NJIT. Aaron is known to be able to play both ends of the floor as he led his Jr. A Toronto Beaches team with 29 goals and 56 points during his final year and is a very capable defender.
Aaron joined NJIT during their first year of Division 1 lacrosse and left his college career holding the school records for goals (115); assists (52); and points (167). In 2019 he tied for the most goals in a game nationally with nine scored against Quinnipiac.
He played Senior A lacrosse in 2019 but his season came to a quick end as he suffered a broken thumb in his first game with Burnaby and wasn’t able to return to the lineup for the remainder of the season. Obviously the Rock saw enough of Aaron during his Jr. A career and have confidence in what the Ottawa native can bring to their offense to make him their first round pick.
Aaron is looking forward to his first training camp with the Rock.
