Matteo is 21 years old and a Huntsville, Ontario native. He’s been playing lacrosse since the age of 4 and has always found a way to play as much lacrosse as he can. It’s been a huge part of Matteo’s life and he’s always trying to find ways to give back to the game that has given him so much. He currently attends Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec and is working on a Major in Sports Studies with a concentration in Business and minor in Journalism.
During his final year of minor lacrosse he played on four teams at the same time; both box and field lacrosse for Huntsville. He also played for his high school team as well as in numerous games with the Huntsville’s Jr. C club.
Matteo has been a referee for both box and field lacrosse for the Ontario Lacrosse Association and has helped out with the development of young players by running a summer camp and helping with the minor association.
He now plays lacrosse at Bishop’s University and is very excited to add to his experience by writing for Lacrosse is Awesome.
Matteo will be covering the San Diego Seals for Lacrosse is Awesome.
