The New England Black Wolves (5-4) and Buffalo Bandits (6-4) swapped veterans and draft picks on Wednesday, February 28.  The Black Wolves receive Callum Crawford and a second-round pick in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft while the Bandits receive Shawn Evans and a fourth-round pick in the 2019 Entry Draft.  Both Evans and Crawford started their NLL careers during the 2006 season.

Evans, a two-time NLL MVP, is on track for his record setting sixth consecutive 100-point season with 18 goals and 33 assists so far.  He joins the Bandits while they sit at first place in the East.  Currently, he ranks eighth in career NLL points with 1,061 and seventh in assists with 675.  Statistically, Evans had his best season in 2015 with Calgary, gathering 130 points.  He helped bring New England to two playoff appearances, but they could not make the finals either time.

Crawford joins the Black Wolves as they sit in third place in the East.  This season he has 18 goals and 22 assists.  He was traded to Buffalo in August after spending two seasons in Colorado.  Those two seasons were his best statistically as he put up 115 points in 2016, and 98 in 2017.  His 535 career assists rank 10th on the NLL all-time list.
