As we ring in the new year, we are delighted to share that we will be adding 3 new cities – Seattle, Washington DC and Raleigh – to our tour this summer! It will be the 7th summer of Shootout for Soldiers, as we seek to build on the $2.5 million we have raised year to date. In 2017, we had over 75,000 people attend our events – a true testament to the support and generosity of this community.
That level of support reminds me of a quote from George Washington that always hit home:
“The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by our nation.”
We strive to continue to assist our veterans when they return home, and we’re grateful for your support in this effort.
