Reed Radochinski, Beat Writer CU Boulder Men’s Lacrosse
Lacrosse is Awesome
Reed Radochonski is currently a broadcast journalism student at the University of Colorado and has a vast knowledge of the game of lacrosse. Reed started playing lacrosse at a young age. He played for the Denver Lacrosse Club from kindergarten through eighth grade. During kindergarten through sixth grade he played middie. From then on he switched over to D Pole and LSM and loved it.
His Father Brad, Mother Carey and twin sister Eliza have always been there to support Reed in his academic and athletic endeavors.
When he was in third grade, his team, DLC played in the Lacrosse Jamboree and the team won their division. This was when he decided it was lacrosse all the way. He attended high school at Cherry Creek High School in Denver. His first year as a freshmen, he started on the JV team. When he was a sophomore he was moved up to Varsity and during his sophomore and junior years would continue to be a key player on the defensive side of the field. Reed also participated in the 5A Championship team twice, once in his sophomore year and again in his senior year with both of their victories over rival Regis High School.
Reed originally played a multitude of sports. He was playing baseball and realized that lacrosse was his passion so he continued on that path. Reed is also an avid skier and loves all that Colorado has to offer.
He hasn’t decided if he will play lacrosse at CU Boulder, but if he does he’ll bring a strong sense of the game as well as another strong defenseman to the Buffaloes. Reed will be covering the CU Boulder Buffaloes Men’s Lacrosse for Lacrosse is Awesome.
Welcome to Lacrosse is Awesome Reed. Glad to have you on our team!
