Seeds Set for RMLC Tournament 4/28 & 4/29/17

DENVER – It boasts four Division I teams in the Top 15 and two teams Division II teams in the Top 20, and now the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference is set to crown its champion.

The RMLC semifinal finals will be held April 28-29 on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder at Kittredge Field, with the champion in each division earning an automatic bid to the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour in Orange County from May 8-13.

In Division I, Utah has assured itself of the top seed regardless of what happens against Brigham Young on Saturday. The two will square off in the semifinals as the Cougars clinched the final spot with its win over Utah Valley on Wednesday. Colorado State and Colorado will face each other in the other semifinal on Friday.

Montana State and Metro State grabbed the top seeds out of their respective division and will face the No. 2 seed in the other division. Montana State faces Fort Lewis while Metro State challenges Colorado Mines.

The championship games will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m. (D-II) and 5 p.m. (D-I)

“As usual, all of the contests in the RMLC will feature some of the best teams the MCLA has to offer,” said RMLC director John Robinette. “Kittredge Field is a great venue to watch the sport, so we look forward to great crowds next weekend.”

Admission to all of the RMLC tournament game is free to the general public.

Big Bite Entertainment in conjunction with Lacrosse Talk Radio will be live streaming all six of the RMLC tournament games this year.
