The Saskatchewan Rush (6-2) would continue to build their winning streak at home in front of a sold out crowd of 15,045 at the Sasktel Centre, as they would edge out the Calgary Roughnecks (3-5) again. In another edition of the Battle of the Prairies, both teams would have their own moments of momentum that would need an extra frame find a victor. Originally the statisticians, Pointstreak Stats Pro® (Game Live; Box Score and Printable Game Sheet), listed Jeff Cornwall as scoring the game winning goal, although the video highlights proved otherwise. In an unlikely turn of events, the official score sheets have been updated as of March 13, 2017 and now show Adam Jones with the GWG in OT, and Jeff Cornwall with the assist to close out the game for the Rush. Final Score: Rush 12—Roughnecks 11.
