Along with a first round pick, Zack Greer, the Saskatchewan Rush superstar has been traded to the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for Adam Jones and a second round pick in the 2017 draft.  As much as the team will miss Greer, Jones is also one of the most formidable players who was a part of the 40-plus goals in each of the past two consecutive seasons, and will no doubt be a huge addition for the Rush.

The Rush can expect to not miss a step with the acquisition of Jones into the roster, as the Canadian phenom is one of the NLL’s top offensive talents in the entire league.

During the 2015 season with the Mammoth, Jones set career high records of 51 goals, 42 assists for a total of 93 points. Here is a little look into what to expect from this superstar of a player and what he can do this upcoming season for the Rush.

Following the trade, Rush GM/Head Coach Derek Keenan had this to say; “It is not easy trading a player with the skills and character of Zack Greer, but he will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2017 season and we have to be mindful of the future. Adam is three years younger. He has already proven to be an elite offensive talent in the NLL and there is even more upside to come.” (Courtesy of saskrush.com)

Rush fans should be excited to see Jones in the Rush uniform for this upcoming season, as he will be another lethal weapon in the team’s bid for a consecutive back-to-back championship.
