The Shootout for Soldiers is a 24 hour lacrosse game benefiting wounded American military members. The event is fun. It’s not a tournament, nor is it about recruiting. The event is all about supporting those who serve our country.
There are 24 consecutive 1-hour games. There are two teams: Stars and Stripes, and registered teams will be grouped into either team once they register. The score is cumulative, last year Stars beat Stripes 349-336!
We partner with four incredible organizations: Team Red White & Blue, Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, Semper Fi Fund, and Gary Sinise Foundation. We help fund their different programs that support veterans in a host of ways.
Interested teams must fund-raise a minimum of $750.00 to hold their spot in the event. The game is open to teams of all ages. Interested teams can register here:

Admission to the event, which in addition to the games includes food and drinks, raffle and silent auction, opportunity to meet professional lacrosse players, fun game and good music, is free for all.
Lacrosse is Awesome is proud to announce that we will be photographing the event in Denver on July 28 and July 29. Pictures will be posted about a week after the games and can be downloaded and copied at no charge. You can also share any photos you like on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other form of social media, but must keep the watermark in tact.
Lance Crafton, one of our writers for the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Towson Men’s Lacrosse just participated in the event held in Baltimore on June 22, 2016. That’s him below sporting his helmet for the event.
