ALSO CHOSEN AS THE COCA-COLA PLAYER OF THE GAME

DENVERMajor League Lacrosse announced Outlaws’ attackman Drew Snider as the Week 2 Warrior Offensive Player of the Week and Coca-Cola Player of the Game in recognition of his late two-point goal in Denver’s 17-16 season opening victory over the Ohio Machine on Sunday.

Snider was recognized after his two-point goal, assisted by Jeremy Sieverts, with 1:30 remaining in the game propelling the Outlaws to a season-opening 17-16 win in front of a home crowd of 2,655 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The two-point tally was the third of Snider’s career.

During the matchup Snider tied his career high of five goals iand set a personal record with eight points for the day. Snider also recorded his 20th hat trick (third most in Outlaws history).

Snider, in his 4th season with the Outlaws, has appeared in 51 games and was named to the MLL All-Pro Team in 2015.

Chris Bocklet described Drew’s performance and his abilities as a player during his player blog we posted on the Ohio Machine victory.

I have also had the opportunity to interview Drew post game and was at the MLL Championship when he scored the two point GWG to give the Outlaws the 2014 MLL Championship and the Steinfeld Cup.  He is one of the those players who finds ways to get open and he shoot lasers at the goalies who have little or no time to react.

The Outlaws return to action against the Ohio Machine at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday with a faceoff time of 4 p.m. MDT. Tune in to Lax Sports Network for all the game action.
