ROSEMONT, IL – Johns Hopkins junior midfielder Cody Radziewicz (Manlius, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) has been named the Big Ten Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Johns Hopkins’ 11-10 come-from-behind overtime win against third-ranked Syracuse on Saturday.

Radziewicz posted his first career hat trick in the win over the Orange as he paced the Blue Jays with three goals in the victory. He sparked Hopkins’ comeback by scoring three straight Johns Hopkins goals in a 4-1 Blue Jay spree that turned a 6-3 deficit into a 7-7 tie late in the third quarter.

Radziewicz, who had scored two goals in a game three times previously in his career and had five career two-point games to his credit prior to the three-point showing against the Orange, now counts seven goals and one assist to his credit this season. He has scored at least one goal in each of the last four games and all eight of his points on the year have come during that time.

Eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins (4-2) will put its three-game winning streak on the line on Sunday, March 27 when the Blue Jays travel to Virginia to take on the Cavaliers (3-5). Faceoff is set for 1 pm with a live national television audience on ESPNU.
